The title “Certified Mediator” is legally protected in Germany. According to the German Regulation on the Training and Continuing Education of Certified Mediators (ZMediatAusbV), only individuals who have completed a comprehensive mediation training program, conducted several supervised practice cases and fulfilled ongoing continuing-education requirements may use this designation. This qualification ensures professional, legally compliant and high-quality mediation practice.
